Welcome to the Indiana Society of Medical Assistants’ (ISMA) Web Site!
As a new year unfolds and as your new ISMA President for 2010-2011, I encourage you to visit our web site often and learn more about our State Society. We will endeavor to have up to date information regarding our state officers, local chapter/district contacts and upcoming workshops, seminars and meetings so that all the information is readily available to everyone. We want you to know what is going on in your area as well so that you will have the opportunity to join in and be a part of your organization.
I have chosen for my theme this year - “Explore, Dream and Discover.”
It is my hope for this year that each one of us will EXPLORE - all of our opportunities and utilize all that is available to us. In being a member of AAMA, and being active at both our state and local levels, we can experience growth not only in our professional experiences, but in our own personal lives as well.
We can each DREAM - of the pathway we have chosen as Medical Assistants and have the potential to be just what we have always dreamed we would be. We have an organization that has the specific information available to us to make this happen and the networking within our organization and our colleagues to further help us along the way.
Finally, with all of our hard work day in and day out, we can DISCOVER - just how good it can feel to be in such a rewarding profession. Just as it mentions in our Mission Statement - our members are inspired to provide honest, loyal and efficient service to the public we serve and our profession. This can only bring out the best in all of us and help us believe in what we do professionally and in ourselves.
This is your organization. We are all different, no one is the same, but without all of us there would be no organization. Each one of us brings something unique and beneficial to our group. Please join us at our state board meetings and attend your local district/chapter meetings. We have a lot going on and with the National Conference for 2011 being held in Indianapolis, we need each and every one of you to help out.
I challenge our ISMA Officers and all of our Members to come along with me and Explore, Dream and Discover - all the good things that are ahead of us for 2010-2011.
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do.” --- Mark Twain
